Fragments on Paper

Fragments on Paper brings together works on paper created with watercolor and other water-based media, sharing the same language as my paintings on canvas: fragmentation, color, rhythm and the human figure.

Paper and canvas have always existed side by side in my practice. Each medium offers different possibilities while nurturing the same artistic research. Some works continue their journey as oil paintings, while others find their complete expression on paper.

On paper, water allows color to move more freely, making each fragment less regular and more fluid. Transparent layers soften the underlying grid without dissolving it, creating a different balance from the one I build on canvas.
